LINOLEUM MAINTENANCE.

Linoleum, also called marmoleum, owes its popularity to the fact that linoleum floors are virtually indestructible. A linoleum floor can easily last 25 years plus. However, proper maintenance is recommended for linoleum floors, as these floors also become dirty over time.

LINOLEUM FLOOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Linoleum maintenance can be accomplished by completely stripping the wax layer from the floor. This involves removing the wax layer and reapplying it. Cleaning the linoleum floor (by machine) with a cleaning agent is usually sufficient. After cleaning the linoleum floor, several coats of wax are applied to make your floor look like new again. The linoleum floor is stripped once by removing the old wax layer with a single-disc machine. Preserving or waxing your linoleum floor is done by manually applying a preservative with a matte, highgloss, or semi-gloss wax layer.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY LINOLEUM MAINTENANCE

After this one-time cleaning of your linoleum floor, it’s no longer necessary to repeat a similar treatment.
